Bacolod City – The Annual Assessment and Planning Workshop for Regional Protected Area Management Enhancement (PAME) Partners of DENR-GIZ PAME was held on February 11-12, 2016 at the Social Hall of the Provincial Capitol in Negros Occidental.
The annual assessment gathered all PAME grant partners in the region particularly Central Negros Wetlands, Irrawaddy Dolphins Conservation MPAs, Ilog-Hilabangan Forest Reserve, Cauayan Forest Reserve, Sipalay Forest Reserve, Hinobaan Forest Reserve, Mabinay Cave System and the Balinsasayao Twin Lakes Natural Park. Each partner gave technical and financial updates of PAME Project implementation in its area of responsibility. The planning workshop also enabled the partners to finalize and share the Regional Action Plans of working groups on terrestrial, wetlands, coastal and marine ecosystems, as well as on Geographic Information System (GIS).
Terence Dacles, PAME Senior Adviser, Regional Supervisor and Coordinator for Regions 6, 7 and NIR; Opalyn Agulay, PAME PR and Knowledge Management Advisor, and Shella Leonor Estecom, PAME Administrative Officer, were all present during the planning workshop. #
