Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), with the assistance of the Philippine Climate Change Adaptation Project (PhilCCAP), set up a booth at the DENR main office lobby on November 21-25, 2016. On display were various information, education, and communication (IEC) materials concerning foreign-assisted and special projects that have significant contributions to the overall climate change adaptation and mitigation program of the government. Each participant was also asked to pledge through a Certificate of Commitment to play a part in adapting to and mitigating the effects of climate change. By doing these simple practices, it is hoped that an individual develops a strong commitment to sustainable use of natural resources and a culture of cooperation in the face of climate change impacts.
The booth gathered around 500 registered participants during the weeklong event. #
