The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the European Union (EU) conducted the 7th Steering Committee Meeting of the EU-SWITCH Asia Policy Support Component at Marco Polo Ortigas Manila on April 4, 2017 to approve the minutes of the 6th Steering Committee Meeting, present and discuss the Project Exit Strategy and the upcoming events of implementing agencies (DOE, GPPB-TSO, and DENR), and lastly, thresh out remaining activities of the project.
The SWITCH Asia Policy Support Component is funded by EU and aims to support the Philippine Government in sustainable consumption and production (SCP) related policies. Originally scheduled to be implemented from July 2012 to December 2016, it has been extended for another six months.
DENR Assistant Secretary Rommel Abesamis presided the meeting, which was also attended by EU representative Mr. Gabriel Dayre, EU-SWITCH PSC Philippines Team Leader Dr. Channa Gunawardena, and other delegates from participating government agencies. (FASPS/ Charis S. Antalan)
