The Ministry of Environment of Japan (MOEJ) and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) affirmed their strong bilateral partnership and collaborative activities during the 8th Environmental Dialogue on Waste Management.
The dialogue, which was held at Marco Polo Ortigas Manila on 19 October 2023, consisted of sessions on Climate Change and Solid Waste Management and Waste-to-Energy Development in the Philippines. The focus of the dialogue was on policy updates and progress of collaboration activities on marine plastics and guidelines on clustering municipal solid waste management treatment facilities. E-waste, early warning system and methane reduction were just some of the areas that the partnership was expected to embark on.
