The Foreign-Assisted and Special Projects Service officiated the ceremonial turnover to and acceptance by the local governments of a rehabilitated access road in Mayoyao and a concreted access road in Hingyon, all in the province of Ifugao.

Both sub-projects were funded by the Agroforestry Support Facility Component of the Forestland Management Project (FMP) to give residents, especially indigenous people living in the area, easier access to trading centers for their agricultural and non-agricultural products and socio-economic amenities such as hospitals and schools.

The one in Mayoyao is a three-kilometer long by three-meter wide Inwaloy-Magulon Access Road connecting Brgy. Inwaloy and Brgy. Magulon.

The other one in Hingyon is the Dumanayan-Luhadan Access Road. The project concreted 1.27 kilometers stretch of the road as an improvement on what had already been constructed by the provincial government.

The communities who stand to benefit the most from this infrastructure sub-projects were partners of FMP in the reforestation activities. (FASPS/ Erwin Sangalang, Alliah Zain Delgado)
